the first move: he pulls the pack out of his jacket

we roll our eyes as he begins to unwrap it

pulls the stick out then brings it to his lips

his eyes meet my glare and he says "can't help it"

has to stop the cravings cause they sting like a bite

anxiety building as he waits for a light

burning, yearning, nicotine rushing

smoking away the best years of his life

but atleast he still hit that cigarette, right?
