First to None
Being in your first relationship, that’s a learning experience you’ll never forget.
The feeling of happiness I got when we first meet
First it felt like a burst of little pops rocks filed with joy and nervousness every time you were around.
I was shy and you were a sense of hope that I admired
I never wanted a relationship, the thought of being so emotionally attached to someone, made my stomach cringe.
I never wanted to be the girl that lost a sense of who she was because she was “ in love”
I was 18 and you were soon to be 20.
We were the same
Smoking in the front seat of my burnt orange 1997 convertible Mustang, almost every night as we filled my car with sweet smoke and stimulating conversation.
We both found something we weren’t looking for, Love
The type of love that makes your heart skip a beat
The type that’s non-existent in the generation we live into
Our first argument, was a car ride of deep silence
Our minds were saying something our mouths never could.
“But at the end of the day no matter what I’ll always love you” you tell me every time
It’s something about those lines that puts a smile on my face so big it cuts half my face
You’ve showed me the world for what it is spiritually and physically
You’ve opened me up to a whole new horizon of things and I can’t repay you for
Love has never seemed so great
“Babe, Nire, Gerber Baby, Nire Boo, Lady, Beautiful”
All the words that feels my ears with sweet serenity
Being way from each other has never been so easy
70 miles may not seem that far but it is when you’re used to feeling that bodies warmth everyday.
So what do I feel now?
I feel the cold, the only sense of warmth I get is from your voice, 70 miles away.
Sometimes I feel alone, nobody can compare to you
The emotions I get from being with you as we continue on with our lives I never want to feel with another
This is my experience of my first relationship
My first and my only
I don’t ever want there to be a second.Being in your first relationship, that’s a learning experience you’ll never forget.
