The First One

you were the first one

that was happy to help.

the first one to not be upset

at the removal of your time,

for the improvement of my life.

You were the first one

who listened to me.

who was willing to agree

with what I had to say;

It means so much to me today.

You did so much without knowing it,

helped to better my life,

without me showing it.

Your simple assistance,

to me, traveled the distance.

You filled your role completely,

what can I say besides thank you,

really?
