First Snow
I breathe in,
The crisp air burns inside.
I take a step,
My feet sink deeper into the earth.
I want to stop,
But it is not possible.
I need to get out.
I need to escape.
I’m ready to find a place,
A place out of this cold,
This hurt,
And this pain.
