First Snow

The sky is just turning bright

A still in the air is cause for delight.

There is a hush upon the land and

It's like feathers are falling on my hand.

I look up and spin around

without making a sound

I stick my tongue out

the pure white crystals make we want to shout.

It's the first snow of the year

I take it all in.

Everything is blanketed iin white

So cool, so clean, so right.
