First Steps

When Love enters in do you notice the sound?

Is it a moment mundane or profound?

For one the moment came when a child,

through words that he found that ran deep and ran wild.

He chased them to places he'd rather forget,

but Love brought him back to a room dimly lit

where he found that the passion he'd hidden away could still spread the love in a different way.

No longer for those who had broken his heart,

but instead for the lovers of peace and of art.

So now the boy stands for a truth he forgot:

that what love is lust is decidedly not.

Through the spinning of words his spirit finds peace,

as his hands work away his new found release.
