The First Tear

I didn't smile

I didn't laugh

I didn't cry

I didn't talk

I didn't get close

Well in the past

Before-

I don't talk about it

That first time

That small saltwater teardrop

Followed by others

Of course, it was a surprise

I thought I was broken

Indeed I am

But my brokenness is what I cherish above all else

Given to me

This is beautiful expression! I love the pause in the middle of this piece. It works well!
