The First Time

I wanna love your mind and your eyes. Your beautiful brown eyes. I wanna love your neck and your hands and your wrists. I wanna love the blood in the veins pumping through your wrists. And if you want to take a blade to those veins, I wouldn’t stop you. I would make you think. And then you’d think about me and you and how I love your mind and your eyes, your beautiful brown eyes, and then you’ll stop. And you will say that you love the way I tuck my hair behind my ear, the way my glasses sit on my face, the way my hands look dangling on my sides. And I will say that I love your eyes and your lips and your cute little nose. And your eyes. Your beautiful big brown eyes.

And you will romanticize and I will get sick. And you will bring flowers and art supplies and gifts. And then I will get sick. And you will continue to romanticize and then I will learn to love your romantic tendencies and then I will want I love them. That’s what you’ll do.

That’s what you’ll do. And it will all start with those eyes. Those beautiful big brown eyes.
