For The First Time

For the first time.

Sad love songs

Didn't make sense anymore.

The melody would twist into my ears,

But my brain did not remember

The familiar guest;

She was rejected at the door.

"No room available at this hotel"!

The past guests,

Loneliness,

Sadness

You know; the regulars,

Were kicked out

By you.

You even brought new friends;

Happiness and love.

But you never told me

That your stay was temporary.

You checked out

Without prior notice;

You didn't even give me a warning!

Your friends left too;

I had to invite the regulars back.

There will always be a spare room

Here just for you;

All you gotta do

Is come back.

Check in again.

But I know you won't.

Hey guys! Just a creative spoken word artist trying to get her degree and writing pieces along the way. Promise that rhyme wasn't intended (or was it?)
