For the first time

4th of July Always was filled with memories Sad ones mostly Being reminded every year on the same day Today was different Today it was calm No hurt memories full my head No family drama coming to light No protecting anyone from the fireworks But to sit on my car To look to my side and see E To just be with him watching the fireworks The nice breeze the quiet moments The night sky being filled with lights Your hand in mine For the first time I got to enjoy this day For the first time no memories filled my head For the first time I had fun I enjoyed myself I have new memories now

My work goes with the beat of how I feel to when I remember a memory I want to talk about it to random thoughts
