The First Time We Met

Abandoned by reality. Kidnapped by purgatory. Frantic, screaming, suffocating. Nothing auditory. Tears cascade, as truth dangled in front of me. But in realities absence, my mind struggled to see. With mindful respect, underlaid arrogance pending, You introduced yourself a friend. Condolences; tone condescending. My hand you took, gently i assume. You led me forward, through the empty crowded room. We stood, looking down, both with eyes dark; drained. Starring at the superficial shroud, that inside somehow contained.. My inspiration. My stability. My guidance. My hero, i called granddaddy. I stood... With Death, for the first time. And died a little.
