First time we met

Looking into your eyes & how they lit up I’ll never forget the first time we met… Not in person but on the internet The hours we talked seemed like a lifetime The conversation so easy as it flowed I’ll never forget any of it, as it felt like home Not sure you knew the intent of my love But, from that day on you’d forever be the 1 The one that would push me to be a better me The one who isn’t afraid to see my emotional side The one who understands why I overthink The 1 who insists I learn the meaning of patience The one who realized I’m different but flawed as well The one who’d do anything, if I’d just stay out of my head Knowing that the past plays a role on both of us is key To understanding each other’s triggers and boundaries Though I’ve messed up and owned my mistakes That doesn’t fix the hurt and brokenness I made you take I’m hopeful my wrongs don’t outweigh all my good parts I promised you.. and I meant every word. I’m not going anywhere!! I’m yours as long as you’ll have me..
