Fishing

The zing of the line through the eyelets,

The sound of my lure shooting through the sky,

The subtle twitches moving the lure through the water,

Everything is critical,

Every move is dire,

No room for error,

A fin,

A body,

One really large mouth,

The strike,

The sound of terror and pain as the reel spits out all of its precious line,

A panic to control the situation,

A leap,

A splash,

Another sprint,

One last struggle,

The feeling of the inner lip of my worthy opponent on my thumb,

The release,

I will see you again some day.
