Fishnet
I was always a lost fish at sea
Always drowning for air
Always caught by the net
the waves suffocated me
It was your cruel deception
That spawned my self-hatred
And all of my beauty
Washes down the drain.
And all of my blood
Was severed by the sharpness of your words,
Like a blade that shots through the clouds.
My illusion is gone
But no one can tell
Cause it is so easy to fake a smile.
So I remain deep in the abyss,
bloomed in the middle of winter,
A suffocating flower
When hypnotized by the light,
I was too fragile and weak
To come out alive
And I just wanted the pain to die,
Because it is scary when you watch your whole life pass you by
And you see nothing you like
It’s just one life.
Yet it only takes one hand to save me from this fishnet.
But people are too busy dealing with their own affairs
How does my life make a difference?
But one person makes all the difference to me.
Call me a fool for believing,
for being naïve with my innocent sorrow
But isn’t hope what God gave us when we are in turmoil?
Something wrong with this poem?
