Fist of Love

I fell in love with who you were

with what I thought was on the inside

I never saw all the anger you were trying to hide

I tried my best not to do anything to make you mad

becuase I blindly loved you

but your fist hurt so bad

I cried my heart out hoping you would come pick it back up

but you just yelled at me trying not to throw up

all the alcohol you drink

and the way it turned you into a monster

and made you unable to think

you became so blind to the love I had for you

and you returned my favor with never ending abuse

I covered up my bruises with make up hoping nobody would see

becuase I love u so much it would hurt more to see you leave

and as time goes on I slowly realize you will never change

and the spark that we had has finally faded away

and you cant seem to stop being so controlling

and it makes it harder knowing you wont let me escape

now im stuck with the man I once loved

and I continuosly cry knowing ill never be hugged

and I know that I can never go back

back to when we first met so I could tell myself that the love would hurt so bad
