Fitting in

Sometimes I think I try so hard to fit in.

I just never seem to figure out why why?

Why does it matter if I fit in or not? I wondered.

Why can't I just be myself? I wondered.

I can't show the real me. It's because nobody would ever like the real me.

I'm a nice, hardworking young lady.. I mean sure my face isn't pretty.

Neither is my body image.

I spent years trying to worry about who I was not.

Instead of who I really was.

Whether people like me or not.

I'm still me.

Yes.. I'm a bit insecure

But my insecurities are what make me unique.

I don't need to try to pretend im someone im not.

Instead of trying to fit in I need to show the real me.
