What if I kept going?

If every line had five

Would this be a poem?

This is getting pretty boring

Stale like year old bread

Why don’t we try something

New?

Poetry is never always the same

It’s unique

A menagerie of words

Mingling together

Flowing together

Poetry is different

Poetry is unique

Poetry is life

If you want to try

You can be a poet too

Just make art like this

Try haiku

You can rhyme

If you’ve got the time

Create a beat

If you can take the heat

You are different

You are unique

Your poetry is alive

Your pencil is its heart

Let that heart beat
