Fires aflame, officers in shame

How can we fight to change destruction?

Children dying, people crying

What can we do to prevent depression?

Money is set, but we're in debt

Where in the future will the economy take a turn?

Israel's surrounded, Syria's rebounded

When will war cease in the Middle East?

Our world is lost, time will cost

Who will step up to make a difference?

<p>My favortie part of this poem is the last stanzas, primarily because it describes what our economy is currently going through. Our government has shut down, leaving thousands of citizens confused of their futures. All of these probelms in our world, who will step up to find a solution? We can't turn to the government because at the moment they are dealing with their own crisis.</p>
