Fixer upper

It sat atop an overgrown hill

Rickety, ragged with no appeal

Falling shutters, missing shingles and past full gutters,

Despite its lack in luster still it shone but only because it sat alone

Amongst the naked eye there was nothing to spare but despair

From whence a stranger came along discovered its potential beneath the old bones

Although it wasn’t an easy repair but the unveiling of its beauty made it rare

Like a fixer upper it’s nt appealing to the eye because the expectation of work that it will nd. But if only we’d be willing to do the work we will discover in the end in that it’s worth the while.
