Fixing Myself My Way

Every idea, every fear,

Every thought that I didn't belong here

Evaporates as the pen glides across the page.

All my anxiety, all my pain,

All the words that I couldn't say

Are written away, page after page.

They say medicine will make you okay.

They say a walk will drive away the gray.

This might be true, but healing -

That comes by putting words down on a page.
