Flame

Comparing to the outside

Not looking within

Praying to Jesus Christ

I need a forgiven sin

Not getting much out of my life so far

Unless you count the half ass grades

And the $500 dollar car

I'm pushing farther and faster than ever before

And getting lost in the music

Getting mangled and scarred

By the ways I manifest on my situation

Inner and deeper pain than seen by populations

And burning inside is a flame that's losing fuel

Because all it ever did was walk into the school

It repeated and rephrased and analyzed it all

Tried it's hardest but still on a fall

And never rising up

Nothing to catch it's breath

Nothing to grab a hold of

Just gliding into it's death

And the air blowing hard

And the fire starts receding

And the fire is losing hope

And the fire’s crying and pleading

For a little bit of time for it to stand back up

But the answer is no and now it's drowned by books and cuts

To the psyche of fire and the tears in it's brain

Letting it all flow from it

Like water to a drain

And spiraling down a never ending hole

Where the fire lost its pride

And the fire then lost it's soul

And the fire never came up

And the fire was lost in darkness

And the fire had no escape

The fire was trapped on the inside

And the fire was tarnished and scrapped

From being dragged and thrown

From one side to the other

And never being held

And never cared for by others

The fire took all the torture

The fire went through the suffer

The fire had no choice

The fire was now covered

The fire was burning out

And the fire was growing weak

And the fire fell to the ground

But the fire can't go to sleep

So the fire tried to stand up

But the fire fell to it's knees

Now to fire is on the ground

And the fire now couldn't see

The fire looked up to the sky

And the fire let out a scream

And the fire then looked back down

And the fire cried and went to sleep

That's when the fire woke up

And it was trapped inside its dream

The fire opened it's eyes

And the fire couldn't believe

What the fire was now seeing

What the fire was now believing

That the fire was not bleeding

That the fire could go on living

The fire stood up and walked to the door

Light surrounded it from the top to the floor

And it looked as the the holy land was just behind the door

So the fire took a step and then took a couple more

And the fire put it's hand on the handle

And the fire couldn't believe it

The fire had no more misery

The end was near it could see it

The fire turned the handle and the fire push on the door

The fire couldn't get through

The fire pushed on it more

The fire was pushing harder

The door wasn't budging

The fire gave it all it had

And the door wasn't nudging

So the fire sat down with his back against the wall

Defeated and bruise from the fires fall

Now the fire really tried to pull itself together

But now the rain was coming

And the fire couldn't get wet or

The fire would burn out

And the fire would be no more

So the first thing the fire did

Was the fire went to the door

And the fire pushed harder

And the rain was getting closer

And the fire was getting madder

And the rain was going faster

And the fire punched the door

And the latch was getting looser

So the fire punched again

And the door was getting looser

So the fire ran back and charged at the door

And when he made contact the door fell to the floor

That is when fire ran on through and immediately fell through

Back into the dream that he had come from too

The fire has a never ending cycle of being lost inside

Every single time the fire tries to hide

The fire loses hope and the flame almost goes

But the fire gets back just never past those

Times where it’s finally free

Living in that world has said something to me

I'm scared of all my problems

And honestly I can't solve them

I don't even know how it is I can cross them

Instead i run away

And hope for the best

But never can I get any sort of rest

Because that fire inside me is burning out

The rain is coming faster

And my fuel is going drought

So my running has finally come to an end

No more leaving dust

No more playing pretend

No more looking for shelter

And no more in the lion's den

I'm finally able to rest

And my relationships I can mend

Because I finally found a way to deal with my issues

And never will I ever dismiss or misuse

The gift I have received

And the gift means so much to me

The power of the gift is something so amazing and honestly really helps

With me getting through stuff

And me getting through hell

Every night I fill myself with it

While during the day I only get little tastes of it

The gift that I got is something for me now

Something that makes me better

Something that clicks now

Something that pushes me harder

Something that makes me stronger

Something that gives me hope

And has the fire burn longer

That gift for me is something I get to see

Every single day I can

He has sent to me

Thank you for being you, Miss Tangerine

From the receiver of your gift,

The flame inside of Me
