Flame Finds You

Flame roars to say hello

I ignore it though I know

It will follow where I go

And only stop when I’m below

I race to escape this fate

But flame knows this great estate

And beats me there just to wait

For I have lost, now I am bait

As flame takes hold, I stand still

For moving would give the thrill 

To want for once to fulfill 

But fight this I will 

But wait, this is new 

I thought it wasn’t true 

That I could be brought to you 

If only I had read the clue

How lovely a surprise 

These feelings that arise

Any hesitation dies

A new feeling flies

Flame knows what it’s done

In this round it has won

It’s true you can’t outrun

But instead brought into one

Flame can visit any time

And I will not ignore the chime
