The Flame of Hope

Dear Fellow Inhabitants of Earth,

I wish to live in a world of light,

where nothing is wrong,

and all is right.

Instead I find,

and thus do pine,

a place where hope is but divine.

A world of darkness is void of hope,

consuming the souls of men.

A bomb, a shot, a cry of loss,

the suffering’s without end.

Our sons and daughters continue to die,

yet we refuse to bat an eye.

If man’s end approaches,

and darkness encroaches,

who will light the flame of hope?

With Vast Hope for the Future,

Mya
