Flashbulb Memories

How did this even start?

Your hands around my throat

tighter

and

tighter

Eyes holding a sick sense of satisfaction

watching to see my reaction

Don’t look at me

Don’t look away

Don’t look at me

Please don’t look away

Can’t you feel how fast my heart is beating?

I think you need to stop

To go any further

Is to admit to you

submit to you

That this is real

And god is an unnamed man

Broken and Unimportant

Don’t look at me

Please don’t look away
