Flashing Thoughts
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 New English Translation
4 for the weapons of our warfare are not human weapons, but are made powerful by God for tearing down strongholds. We tear down arguments 5 and every arrogant obstacle that is raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to make it obey Christ.
Now here is one that bothers quite a bit.
It interrupts my train of thought and very often prayer.
Are these reflections now from darkness deep within,
powers out of control, it seems, that take at will to slay me?
Pictures that come to mind which I dissect at will.
Driven by imaginations which rush through my structure.
Jumping to conclusions that satisfies my fill.
Levels of depravity that drag me to self-destruction.
