Flawless To Be Me

Location

When I walk down the street, I feel their eyes

They look at me but don’t know why

I used to stay in my room and hide

Scared of judgments, Terrified.

One day I took a glance in a glass

To see what they see when I pass

Who is this girl looking back?

Is that a smudge or is that a crack?

No, that’s a smile shining bright

With lips spread wide and teeth white

That show the happiness inside

That shows I have nothing left to hide

I’m flawless as you can see

My confidence reigns supreme

My drop-dead personality

It’s flawless to be me

Turns out I never knew

The real me, the real truth

The light that shined through

To everybody, even you
