Flawless Me

It takes a lot of patience

To be a girl like me.

To work so hard for lots of things

That my friends all get for free

It takes a lot of courage

To be a girl like this

To walk the straight and narrow

While others hit and miss

My life has not been easy

In fact, it's been far from it

Many days have come and gone

When I thought I'd have to quit

It takes a lot of dedication

To school and church and family

Even on days that I'm exhausted

But I'm exactly who I want to be!

It takes a lot of happiness

To make this smile so bright

I was created flawlessly.

A splash of color in a world of white.
