Flawless In My Cup

Location

I am independent, strong, and ambitious

I’ve got goals, aspirations, that are oh so vicious

Because I don’t hold myself down, I keep myself up

So ask me again how much flawless is in my cup

It’s like I wake up with a smile on my face

Because I know that no one could ever corrupt my space

All these lies society seems to tell

Whoever believes it, get out from under that spell

What makes me flawless is the way my hair curls when it’s wet

The way my skin is so brown and beautifully kept

I do not need a soul’s approval of what is right

Should I tell you more? I just might.

What makes me flawless is my will to learn and excel

My drive to succeed and do well

I live for motivating myself and doing my best

So I will never ever ever have to depend on the rest

So whether or not they like my curly hair

Or the deep mahogany of my skin is too much for them to bare

I don’t hold myself down, I keep myself up

So ask me again how much flawless is in my cup
