Flaws

There are flaws in everything I do

In everything I am

In the way I speak

In the way I walk

And the way I view the world around me

Every awkward step

And misstep in my life

All gathers around me

To make me change just who I am

As a twist of my mind

Makes it all far from my control

And over the years I have learned;

This is me

That what I hated seeing

Was a view of a hand-crafted world that only I could see

With distorted color

That from the moment I opened my eyes

I watch them melt together

Brown fading into grays of long hair flowing under the sun

Blues and blacks taking up the same swirling space in the midnight sky

Reds and yellows burning brighter than a bonfire in July

And grassy edens with a different shade in every step of their rolling hills

All giving amazing depth

To the world crafted in front of me

To be redesigned in my own mind

A new artistry;

Captured

In the mere way I share it

How I word it, how I paint it

All giving insight

To the wonderful flaws

That I've grown to love
