Flaws of our love

we both know this love hasn't been easy on the both of us

from us working through the distance

time spent apart

problems at home 

we always had eachother 

to us raising our voices at eachother in the car where i'm sure people passing can hear even though the windows are rolled up 

to you calling me useless

us saying "fuck you" to one another 

to me having to worry about you getting close another girl that isn't me 

to us rethinking if this is the type of love and the type of person that we want to share the rest of our lives with

why do we do this to ourselves?

i continue to hear others say that i should leave you 

that i don't have to deal with the pain and toxicity that is our relationship 

do you know how many times i've cried myself to sleep knowing you're out with somegirl?

you probablly don't, do you?

i can't lie, i haven't made this relationship any easier either 

i know i would tell you what to do or what not to do

who and who not to hangout with or talk to 

how i would check your phone when you are asleep or not in the room

how i would ultimately find something out that upset me 

we know this love hasn't been easy 

we know it hasn't been perfect 

we know that we were stuck in our bad habits

we know we have to change 

not just on ourselves as individuals 

but together as one 

we know this love hasn't been easy 

it would take time and effort to get to the place we want to be 

time to gain trust in one another 

to be honest 

openly communicate with one another 

we have a long way to go 

but it's not impossible
