A Fleeting Sight
There you are again.
Sprawling across the sky.
It is on a rare occasion
that you show your colours.
Each time it is like magic
to see something so beautiful
yet you only show for a few minutes
Even now you are fading
as the clouds shut out the light.
when will you appear again
and show the world your dazzling array?
when will be the next time
you brighten my day?
I long to see your breathtaking
view for just a bit longer.
But i know all good things
Do not last. So i shall say
goodbye, my rainbow. Till we meet
once more under your everlasting arch
