Flesh's direction

Job 6:12

12 Is my strength like that of stones?
or is my flesh made of bronze?

Flesh, flesh you’re always there. I don’t have to search for you

Every moment you’re awake, you force yourself into the foreground

Always shoving and pressing seemingly there’s little for me to do

Just like a pot of boiling water you blow off steam at every sound

Without you I’ll understand freedom but would be useless in this world

Somehow you keep me going on track in the circles of my existence

Somewhere in the future though you’ll be sliced, diced and curled

Into a destined state of nothingness where dust and ashes are persistent

Like a cigarette burning at both ends you’re caught in the middle

Will you go up in a puff of smoke or burst in a flame or two

Does it really make much difference as all seems just a riddle?

As everyone has someone in tow labeled in black: “Me or you”
