Flight
A drifting breeze beneath my skin,
A brushing softer kiss.
It breathes the air through which I swim,
I hover--wrapped in bliss.
And moonlight streams through thunderclouds,
that weave a patch of light.
And rain would fall to leave me drown,
But there's no sense of fright.
For thunder feeds my vital strength,
And cleanses while I breathe
The sparkle-scent of water sprites
That tickle as they teethe.
But rainbows still will flicker false,
I know to trust in naught.
For faith in them will cause my fall;
Don't trust what you are taught.
