On Flight

"Caterpillars form cocoons to eventually blossom into beautiful butterflies" And so children are told to do the same. They play and crawl endlessly until they are taught beauty and to anticipate growth. Life gets harder. Complicated. They are taught to embrace that. Walls are built, stiff. Metamorphisizing and shaping them. Inhibiting them to stray from what is expected. They finally emerge into adulthood, confused. What if after all those years looking ahead, they have become blind to the colors in their wings?
