Flight

The world splayed far and wide.

Distant edges fade into white and blue.

Wind whistles through feathery locks.

Sending the short strands into a frenzy.

Standing at the precipice's edge,

snowy wings unfurl, reaching out.

A single stroke sends the ground

spiraling away.

Streaking across the sky,

green and blue blur far below.

Climbing higher and higher,

the clouds shrink.

Reaching the limit, wings spread wide.

Gliding silently into the

approaching twilight.
