Flinching From Who I Am

Stillness of the space around me

where nothing is said

it's screamed from my head

where nothing is heard

I bottled up the hurt

I bottled up the pain

I bottled the doubt and anger and greed

all to keep them happy

They aren't happy when I express my thoughts

when I show anything that is raw

when I don't wear a smile that brightens their day

when I don't frolk because of My pain

So I perform for the sake of them

I dance for them

I play for them

I laugh for them

I smile for them

I lie for them

Then you came...

you didn't take away the pain

you didn't care about the lies

you looked me in my eyes

you told me I was going to die

without anyone to see me cry

you opened up the walls inside

and didn't flench from what you saw inside

You was okay with my mountain of hurt

with the darkness of hate

and the abyss of guilt

You understood the jelousy and greed and doubt

and you didn't look away from my snot

I'm grateful you didn't try to fix me

you didn't treat me like something broken

you called me on my shit and blunders

you didn't victamize me or tell me to go back to before

I am a person to you with highs and lows

I can show my falts and I can dig my holes

I can show my light and strive for greatness

and I never have to hide my faces

This is the root of my abmiration

thank you, love for your patience
