Flint Fangs

Flint fangs Clutch in the neck of the media Dying of thirst and dehydration Begging us all for water Flint fangs loose its bite. Get dull after a couple days & dry nights. When the nation moves on to the next topic Flint water, Or lack there of, Its steady moking them. Dead Detroit Days Covered in a purple haze Smoke and hip hop and Summer deaths That don't seem to amaze The residents Flint water fangs Dripping lead poisoning In the great lake state They can taste it; They can taste it. They can feel it. They can't stand it. Gargoils and yellow cones ache On corners of downtown buildings While half dead Detroiters wait For the campaign to improve their city & Move to the Hood to take the pain away Flint fangs gnashing at the teeth of brothas Mamas in Dead Detroit Days don't bother Don't cross the train tracks. You won't get far without being checked By police that would look you in the eye And tell you how you're not worthy enough For that pavement Unless you're lying on it. Flint fangs gnash At Donald,Hillary, Bernie along with other politics and Die to the fact that their skin is burning And the mutations began Why the hell would they care Who the next president is? Because what's worse than the worse case scenario Is false hope. Dead Detroit Days Naturally went up in smoke. Along with half the population Pushing us out with rope And new construction And pot holed roads And dead black boys On iron print t shirts With post traumatic stress disorder at 15 years old Due to the street wars. We ain't got no money So we sure is dying poor! Death don't give a damn what's in your wallet And the charges go to your family When you need to be in a 6 foot hole Cause Hood rich And goodness Are obviously antonyms But you could judge a sista after You don't deny her a job because of her skin Or maybe cause her breast are too big Sex symbol equating to black girls sin Flint fangs are thrawling And ghastly If we are 70 percent water Then the lead must be weighing them down In the sea of this society And how could they give care if you bleed As long as they don't see it And as long as it can't be deemed Their problem too. Drinking water is a major issue Water bottles came in like Sunday shoes Until the trend was over And everybody just assumed That just because Big Brother stops talking That Big Brother stopped watching. And The Flint throats are still deprived Of the stuff we chug down While driving around their town So dehydrated They can hear their eyes blink. Dead Detroit Days and Flint Fangs are too close Yet we never meet. We  look in the eyes and nod to each other Who are we? Nobody in this country.
