Float on Up

I dropped a painting in a pond

When last I checked it wasn’t gone

The rain and sun renewed my lens

As color seeped in murky bends

I threw my heart into a lake

It sunk until I missed the aches

That once had soared across my soul

Memories young and always old

My body lost itself at sea

Dancing with eternity

I found, below the deepest depths

My painted heart had run from death

G Nathaniel

ignore the angst, the bathos, the pretentious pitfulls. If you read anything, be gentle. I guarantee it makes each word seem loose enough that its weight is left to the imagination :) write on!!
