Floating Away...

I feel like I'm casually floating

by my life.

Inhaling and exhaling

each minor inconvenience

I swallow my pride

to the point of nonexistence.

My feet

floating

My fingers

floating...

Though as I float

I find myself drifting

far far away

into the darkness of the night.

Not a star in sight,

my celestial being floats.

She is the only thing of substance,

she is the only thing of light.

On day she hopes

far more she believes

for light like hers to reach her

to lift her from her grief.
