flood up to her ankles

flood up to her ankles that no one can see

frost on her finger ips and she cant breath

lost in a maze and blind to the light

they all wonder how shes managed to survive

but shes happy

dark in her eyes and smoke inher lungs

and scars along her body how could she not be done

but shes happy

ask her why the tears come streaming out

ask her if shes ok, what shes thinking about

her words always the same, as she puts a smile on her face

and you know its a lie, but you never ask why

cus shes happy
