Floods
The planet upon which I chose to dwell
May spin with speed and disregard.
For those people who've lost but still can't tell,
That life on Earth could be so cold and hard.
The rains were thought to be God's replenish,
But asking for more of rain at plenty
Kissed the devil and granted his one wish.
Standing in horror, we are all empty.
Multiple towns ripped apart at their seams
Everything torn by merciless water.
Bridges destroyed and roads covered with trees.
The floods came strong but people fought harder.
Families torn, no knowing what to feel.
Cities in ruins begin to heal.
