The Floor
Step after step
The pain numbs me
Stomp after stomp
The ceiling smirks mockingly
Click after click-
Those must be heels-
The walls laugh
Ha-Ha
The ridicule doesn't hurt me
For without me,
You
The ceiling
and the roof
Would never exist
No "Thank You" is heard
But I do not fret
The feet smell
The heels hurt
The lack of gratitude is disappointing
But sometimes you must think of others
Before yourself
Step
Step
Stomp
Stomp
