Flores

To me, nothing quite spells out victory like a warm bath filling steam to the room. The suds for soaking worn heels from which we've trotted months into years will be the cherry to top our soufflé of an anniversary. Later I’ll miss the sound of my favorite tunes you would've thoughtfully resumed to suit my mood that afternoon. I'll never beat your kindness Or match such gentle caress You possess a kind of power That somehow summons flowers Out of thin air Your lovely stares Manifest vanilla and pollen Flores Like rich cake that pounds a punch of sophistication Flores Like meadows filled with a million carnations You are all the beautiful things I love most of this destination
