Flow

The world is a stream

And I am nothing but a trickle of water in that stream.

I seek to push back,

against the currents,

But it seems impossible,

For the world is a stream.

The world is a waterfall

Crashing

But flowing

            and I am the

          cloud at the end

           of the waterfall.

Where the world

pounding

On my dreams

Trying to derail me,

Saying,

it isn’t possible or

It is ridiculous because

It is different than the norm.

The world is a waterfall.

The world is a raindrop

And I…

I am part of the puddle in the rain.

The world becomes a puddle

Where I have people who,

I call friends,

Some closer than others.

The world is an Ocean.

Because there is still so much to do.

And to make a difference, I have to choose,

When that stream branches off,

Or the waterfall cascades

Or the rain falls

Where

I need to

go.
