Flow of Knowledge

The flow of knowledge,

Like that to a river

Streams through my mind,

As quickly as an arrow drawn from its quiver.

I lie upon the green sweet grasses,

Watching as time slowly passes.

My thoughts engage in constant battle,

Tossing my head like a toddler rattle.

Experiences learned and obtained anew,

Allow me to focus at the wonderful view.

The hot star up in the orange sky,

Begins to set, while I lie.

I think for a moment, and wonder why?

The things I’ve learned have flown right by.

Yellow diamonds in the night,

Light the darkness to obtain some sight.

They shine my way to a better tomorrow,

One filled with knowledge, not with sorrow.

I see my future, a successful one;

To know I’m finished, yet have just begun.
