The Flower

The Flower

This flower I find in my life

Brings joy and happiness in the midst of strife.

I think about this beautiful rose

And I smile as I believe God knows

Every desire of my heart

He’s added on a special part.

A flower in bloom in the midst of spring

I find myself praising this great king.

For what a blessing he has given me

In this sweet flower that I now see.

Far beyond what I’ll ever know

And to have her and to grow.

To serve her, to honor this lovely flower

Who am I that this blessing he’d shower?

Together we’ll grow just you and me

And we will watch as God leads us to be free.

To love and care for one another

As boyfriend and girlfriend, sister and brother.
