The Flower Cycle

Waiting gently in the palm of your hand, Sun flower seeds are planted in the earth; Yellow and sweet smells will invade the land, Resting carefully for their vivid birth. Water lilies float like clouds in the sky, Exotic bugs live on the stems that tower; Stems grow from the water to way up high; Life radiates off of the long flowers. A once brilliant red rose turns to sad grey, Wilted pedals of red roses rustle, They sit in demise waiting for the day That they lose their final bit of muscle. When these flowers wilt you may want to cry, Just know it’s ok; all things must die.
