A Flower Petal

Life is as frail

As a soft flower petal.

In one moment it seems healthy and secure.

But with a gust of wind

It will be attached, no more.

The temporary beauty of a flower in full bloom

is a royal life

that could be over soon.

Though every bud

has its chance,

nothing here

can forever last.

For it is the flower’s honest frailty

that makes its life

a sacred blessing.
