Flower Petals
Flower petals everywhere,
all the people stop to stare.
Who is that beauty standing there?
She is a bride.
It is her wedding day.
With family by her side,
she is about to say I do.
I do, forever take you to be mine.
To have and to hold, for now and always.
Your love is so pure and divine,
won't you always be mine?
My dearest love,
sent from God above,
Promise me one thing...
Take this ring.
Promise to remember me.
Always remember me.
Until death do us part,
you'll be in my heart.
Until death do us part,
hold me in your heart.
Until death do us part,
I will love you with all of my heart.
Until death do they part,
flower petals fall.
Flower petals on the ground,
People standing all around.
There is a wholebefore them,
so very large to see.
He stands above it, so peacefully.
He smiles a weak, loving grin,
for he knows she had made it to heaven.
Now she'll forever be in his heart and dreams,
he knows she is enjoying heaven's streams.
Flower petal's fall,
blowing in the wind.
Flower petals fall,
blowing in the wind.
As white clouds turn to grey,
People bow and start to pray.
One day up in heaven they will see her again,
one day... but today they just say 'amen'.
A tear rolls down his cheek,
for he is left with a meek
mememory.
A miracle.
Me.
She is apart of me,
Her daughter, in a cradle.
Very fast asleep, let me be.
To think what could have been.
To think what should have been.
To remember her faith and love,
to know she is above.
Watching, waiting, praying and loving.
Flower petals fall,
blowing in the wind.
Until death do we reunite,
Flower petals fall.
Flower petals fall, they help us to see,
past faith and memory.
Until death do we part,
Until death do we reunite.
I long live that moment in the light.
To hope for something that is yet to come,
is the very point of life.
We made a promise, on to keep,
not to go up the chimney sweep.
To say time's up,
to just give up,
is not the purpose of life.
To strive and fight for what you love.
That is the purpose of life.
Flower petals fall
In a church, in a grave
In a meadow, in a cave.
How'd they get there?
I do not know.
They are all different colors though.
From different places around the world.
It's up to you to live,
to give,
to see.
Flower petals fall,
they fall on you and me.
What makes those petals fall?
What locks them in the wind?
To cover you in a light shawl,
to cover all the sin
of death, and life
of its pain and strife.
Fall, flower petals, fall.
Fall for one and all.
