Flower Petals

Look at me. I am only but a flower, fragile and soft.

But yet you pick me apart, until all my petals are lost.

You be little me, use my name in vain, and make me feel small.

You degrade me in every way, am I nothing to you at all?

You may never know my worth, or the value of my being.

And use your hurtful words so that I may not understand the meaning,

Of my true beauty, and my reason for living.

And all of the positive messages that I could be giving.

Just know that all your heart tearing actions, and the words that you scoff

Will never be able to wilt this flower, so fragile and soft
